Hello,
While I understand that main objective of these new regulations would be to deter individuals residing permanently in public locations on the water (obviously there are those who are getting carried away), some of the suggested changes to 'camping on the water' regulations are absolutely asinine. There are many of us who live on the Great Lakes to spend time on the water and if this is passed, it will be quite concerning what comes next. You already can't go for a boat ride or anchor anywhere without have "safety checks' from the OPP. There are several other "minor clarifications" that are absolutely ridiculous and clearly suggested by individuals with no boating or marine background.
