These are my thoughts on why allowing floating containers on waterways is a bad idea that should be scrapped completely. These are random points that convey my disapproval for allowing these floating containers.
Arguments against Sea Containers
• damage to boat launches
• introduction of more invasive species (ie. Zebra mussels, eurasion milfoil)
• ruining residents, views, enjoyment of personal property, light and noise pollution
• increased occasions of trespass, vandalism, break-ins on private property
• not following any official plan.
• Transient entitled freeloaders, who don’t respect other peoples property
• Transient entitled freeloaders who don’t pay the huge municipal taxes that the property owners do
• How about garbage? Allot of it will end up on the shorelines or sunk in the lake
• Increased stress on public parking facilities, that are usually jammed as it is during the summer months, often meaning that emergency vehicles can’t respond as required.
• Sewage will be a big concern to water quality.
• Where are there pets “going” Yea likely in the lake
