It is critical that the proposed changes that have been withdrawn be brought back: "The following proposals have been removed and are no longer under consideration: reducing the number of days that a person can camp on water at one location in each calendar year from 21 days to 7 days, increasing the distance that a camping unit on water must move to a different location from 100 meters to 1 kilometer, adding a new condition to prohibit camping on water within 300 meters of a developed shoreline, harmonize non-resident and resident camping rules, and several other minor clarification proposals."
Vessels, whether traditional boats, or floating accommodations, that are in one place for more than a week (which could be defined as 9 days or 8 nights, eg Sat to Sun, if necessary) are no longer vessels, and should be required to contribute societally for the use of the space they are occupying.... eg pay taxes. Furthermore the requirement to move 100 m to reset the clock is trivial to the point of meaningless.
A minimum distance from a developed shoreline is a good thought, but can be pretty tricky to assess and therefore enforce, but it should be seriously considered.
I am confused by the statement quoted above since it appears that the current proposal must be pretty empty if the changes discussed here are not being included.
