I do not disagree that moving from paper to electronic administration is a useful step.
However making all information about licensed applicators and companies available on the web is a violation of privacy, and exposes some proprietary company information to the public.
It is not unreasonable to show the names, license numbers and if the license is valid to the public, as I have with my arborist certification. However showing the expiry date, and publishing who the person works for and all licensed exterminators that work for a company could allow the public and competitors to know information about a person and the company that would not be available in other ways, and be a commercial disadvantage to the company. This information is already available to MOECC staff if it is needed, but serves no beneficial purpose for the public to be informed of, and may harm the company or the exterminator. This part of the information file should be kept private.
