What on earth are you thinking? Seriously? Using enclosed pens so that hunters can train dogs to hunt wildlife and run competitions for hunting dogs.

This is frivolous and inhumane. It will further encourage the capture of wildlife. Necessary capture is one thing…unnecessary capture to feed a frivolous need is another. This is not acceptable.

I strongly oppose the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses, and the transfer of existing licenses, for dog train and trial areas in Ontario.

New licenses for dog train and trial facilities are a huge step backward for society. These facilities have no place in Ontario.

In this day and age there are other ways to train dogs. Dummy methods and scent training exist.
