We own a farm and would like to sever land for our parents to live on with the current house and build a house for our family and children. We are trying to be able to take care of our parents as they age and avoid nursing homes. We all want to be able to live and work on the farm. Being able to sever land would be a very helpful tool in achieving our goals, as right now there are so many gatekeepers it almost seems impossible.
