Turning Green Belts which purify the air and turning them into car-dependent suburbia is not a sustainable development policy. Intensification where we re-develope existing housing into more dense developments, for example from single-unit houses into row-houses, is the way to go. Retrofitting existing housing, developming granny flats, etc. We need those green-belts to remain as forests!
