I hope severing small amounts of farmland to increase housing supply is passed, including in the Greenbelt. This will help the younger generation live and work in the province (Hamilton for me). It is frustrating not being able to build a home on our large property. The total loss of useable farmland would be minimal (approx. 1%), but the ability to retain the main parcel of land within the family increases significantly by limiting cash constraints of the need to buy a home elsewhere. This proposal has brought some hope that I will one day be able to live on the same road as my parents and enjoy our beautiful property.
