As a former resident of the village of Nanticoke and still a resident of Haldimand County, I am old enough to have watched all of the industry come to Nanticoke and take a huge toll on the farming community. I also watched as the Ontario government tried to implement a planned community in Townsend. That didn't work. I hope that the government can see that the current residents don't wish to change their way of life. The Ontario government tried it 50 years ago and it didn't go well for them then either. Stay away!
