The creation of residential lots on prime Agriculture designated lands seriously jeopardizes the viability of Ontario's Agriculture and Agri-Food Sector. To allow up to 3 residential lots in prime Agricultural areas is preposterous ! Ontario's Agriculture and Agri-Food Sector is a key economic driver for Ontario's economy. The proposed changes to the Provincial Policy Statement will have serious implications to the point that we will see a significant decline in agriculture output. Thus a decline in Ontario's economy.
No residential development should be allowed on prime Agriculture land other than the principal dwelling of a farm operation, period!
