It is my understanding that this company (2374866 Ontario Inc.) has been importing liquid soil to 6678 Wellington Road 34 for approximately 10 years without required environmental compliance approvals, Ministry or Municipal oversight, and without the required zoning. In addition to the liquid soil, 2374866 Ontario Inc. claims to have imported soil from a Highway 401 project without Municipal approval or oversight.
I fully support the comments submitted by the Township of Puslinch which advise that the site is not appropriate for a liquid soil processing facility. There appear to be mulitiple compliance issues with respect to zoning, compliance under the Aggregate Resources Act with respect to rehabilitation to agricultural afteruse (soil quality requirements), compliance with respect to the ARA licence and site plans, a lack of environmental approvals and a history of using this site to spread soils from the onsite liquid soil hydrovac business which is operating illegally (see Township of Puslinch comments).
There are many outstanding and unaddressed concerns. The current use is operating illegally without zoning permissions and this ECA should not be issued.
