Flowering Rush is a HIGHLY INVASIVE AND DESTRUCTIVE growth that has developed along my shoreline in Minaki. When I arrive in May the deer come to the water's edge to drink. By July the weeds are growing 100 feet out from the shore and around my floating docks. I believe your designation of Restricted is inadequate for this species. I believe Prohibited to be more appropriate. It continues to choke off the waters in my bay more and more every year. It inhibits fish spawning and bird habitation and swimming and boating and traditional enjoyment of the waters along my property and massively along crown land shoreline. The attached photos give an idea of how quickly it grows. We need help to deal with this. I am 78 and been to Minaki for at least 1 day every summer of my life starting at 6 months. I am concerned about what we are leaving to our children and grandchildren.
