Hello,
I am one of the residents living in the closest proximity to AP. Since we moved to this area in April 2021, we have been experiencing daily noise, consisting of beeping, banging, crushing, machine engine roars, buzzing and similar to construction side noises, but very close. The loud noises start early in the morning, sometimes as early as 5am-6am and continue sometime later than 5pm.
There is a significant amount of dust and particles pollution that we are receiving with the directions of the wind often coming from North or North-West.
The worst of all advertises is the smell of the hot asphalt when it is loaded on trucks. This smell is not only sickening it can be felt in our throats as irritating and brings a sense of sickness with it. This smell is an indicator of many toxic elements that we are exposed to. As the loading of trucks happens through out the day on separate occasions and also considering the direction of the wind, these experiences are hard to predict ot to measure.
We have been complaining multiple times for the past few years and there has been some communication with levels of Provincial and municipal offices, but on the outside everything stays the same.
It came to my attention that this expansion that the amendment is for has already happened.
I am really hoping that someone will care enough to acknowledge the reality we live in and make it a priority to address the matter.
