Hello,

I'm very concerned about the proposed increased limit of water taking for construction site dewatering to 400,000 L/day as this does not take into account that one or more dewatering work areas within a construction site. Thus the overall amount of cumulative water is not being considered as it can be much more than the 400,000 L/day.

Also, the residential foundation drainage systems will also increase from the 50,000l/day to 379,000 L/day without requiring a permit-to-take-water.

Ontario is currently blessed with the amount of water it has at its disposal; however, this vital resource is finite and should not be seen as limitless. In addition, climate change is having a real impact on the amount and the quality of water, one example is the trending upwards of blue green algae blooms we are seen for the past years.

Please reconsider the limits as the proposed new ones are putting our available water at risk.
