Remember the Brenntag fire that polluted Mimico creek because the site didn't have spill protection and runoff found its way into the storm sewers?
proposal to "streamline stormwater approvals"and the plan to remove permit application requirements and to move it to a "self service" online registry is not going to servebpublic based on previous incidents.
large scale industrial and commercial developments should be required to obtain a permit from the ministry of the environment and by enabling them to avoid that process we are letting them to pollute our environment free of charge with no strings attached since why they should even bother with the whole process when we kill it with zero accountability
