I am strongly opposed to the changes being put forward to stormwater management under the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry. The public must have input on stormwater applications as any project will affect the neighbouring properties and wetlands. We do not want to repeat the mistakes at Walkerton with the associated implications for public health. The Conservation Authorities must be involved in planning and oversight of stormwater management. I also strongly believe that the aggregate industry should not be eligible for EASR permitting.

Allowing industries to monitor and regulate themselves is a fools game and will put the health of the environment and people of Ontario at risk. Do not water down regulations in Ontario.
