I just wanted to voice my concern about the proposed landfill site that York 1 is wanting to put just outside of Dresden and beside Molly’s Creek and the Sydenham River. If this were to happen it would be detrimental to the residents of Dresden and surrounding area. It would affect or health negatively as well as the health of the waterways and wildlife in the area. The amount of trucks that would be coming and going would from this site would be noisy, constant, a huge source of pollution, and wear down our roads. The site would bring smells and would be an eyesore to those coming in and out of the area every day. Having a landfill in this location would bring absolutely no benefit to the town of Dresden. Please consider another location with no waterways or towns anywhere close by.
