I would like to see the OEB decision reversed. Natural Gas is the cleanest of the fossil fuels we use today, it's why the USA was able to slash it greenhouse gas emissions. Until we complete the build of at least a few new nuclear power generating plants, I don't see how our current grid could even support all the 'electrification' that's being proposed...not to mention the rising costs of electricity.
Furthermore, we have had a couple warm winters in Ontario...but this will not last. I wonder how people with heat pumps will feel when the temperature falls to -30 degrees....I bet they will wish they had something more powerful then a heat pump. They do not work so well when it gets below -25.
