Just a couple notes on the opening statements in the proposal...

This site was used 30+ years ago as a landfill for ash from the incinerator in the town of Dresden. Key word....30 years ago. The site has basically been dormant for years. In recent years there was a business operating out of this location that recycled waste wood. Stating this site services the Province of Ontario is a bit of a stretch.

I'm all for the regenerative recycling concept. I honestly believe it would be good for Ontario to have such operations. I do NOT support this business operating 1 km from my home in Dresden. Our infrastructure cannot support such an operation. I do not support York1 and their tactics to inquire additional surrounding land, taking advantage of locals who did not know their true intentions. I do not support or trust that our waterways (Sydenham River & Molly's Creek) will be safe with this operation running so close to these treasures. I do not support the diesel trucks making hundreds of trips down our local roads daily. This is a mostly agricultural setting with many tractors, combines and other farm equipment that we share our roads with. I fear for my family that already travel down these highways with tractors and are passed by transports blowing their horns as they pass. I can only imagine how it will be with hundreds more trucks on the roads.

I can't imagine there isn't a location that would be more suitable for an operation like this. Maybe even 3-5 km's from a town. Dresden is literally in the middle of nowhere. We are not close to any major highway. These trucks will travel at minimum 30 minutes once they leave the 401 or 402 highway through small communities and rural areas.

At the minimum York1 should have a legitimate environmental and roadway study completed. This location is just not a good fit. I appreciate your time in ready my comments.
