This soil treatment plant (1490 Winhara road) is not in the correct location for this type of facility. This area is very residential with many young families on well water. I’m very worried about the added large vehicle traffic along with the risks of contamination and noise pollution on the road.
The water table is VERY high, with wetlands and other waterways surrounding this location. Resident beavers and other wildlife use the surrounding waters and acreage as their home. This also makes this area a high risk for contamination.
The builders at the site now have zero respect for our RESIDENTIAL area. They do not use horns to announce that they are blasting, and the rocks and blast mat pieces fly every which way with no regard as to where they land.
This Wild West attitude with no one policing the build site does not lead me to trust what state the soil treatment plant will be once located here.
I STRONGLY AND WHOLEHEARTEDLY disagree with this proposal.
