This proposal makes no economic or financial sense to the wellbeing of the Province of Ontario.
At best it is fodder for an election add.
This proposed amendment to the act does not in any way create safety for anyone in Ontario, and the act is intended to promote road safety and compliance with highway and motor vehicle regulations.
This item does not belong in this act, but it might belong on a campaign poster somewhere.
Please make substantive legislative and enforcement changes that improve safety on Ontario's roads.
For instance, re-route all trucking traffic along the existing toll route and pay the tolls for the truckers. That would benefit road safety along the heavily used 401, use the underused 407. Doing so would immediately aid in reducing collisions along the 401 which tie up commuters and commercial traffic on a regular basis.
