As a former resident of the town of Dresden, I find the idea of a landfill/transfer station in such close proximity to a rural community with growth potential disgusting. There are multiple concerns that are attached to this project like smells from waste production, pollution of the ground water, water ways and contamination of residents wells that are within proximity of the landfill site, reduction of property value, increased truck traffic and noise from site operations, and increase in loose litter that can be blown from the site on high wind events. I understand that waste management is required to facilitate community-based growth but further study of environmental and community impact need to be completed. There has to be a solution that has a reduced impact on a residential population and can be constructed in a more remote location that is much further than 1km from a town or small population of people
