I am disappointed by the false narratives and knowingly inaccurate information being shared by some opponents of the dump proposal.
When looking at this proposal objectively it is clear to me that this will divert recyclable material from landfill and that given the nature of the waste that is proposed to be processed on the site there is no significant risk to the local water table or the creek.
The material in question will be from SW Ontario. This is not (and has never been) about "importing Toronto's waste" the way opponents are dishonestly claiming via social media.
The only REAL objection locals should have would be the increased truck traffic and noise. If I was living along that road I would be concerned as well. Some clarity on what a 24/7 operation would really involve along with some guidelines around both sound dB levels and truck traffic during the hours of 10pm-6am should help alleviate any legitimate concerns.
Unfortunately I feel there is likely nothing that you can do to alleviate the illegitimate concerns that are based on false information and fear mongering.
