These amendments are being proposed to facilitate the agenda of the current governing party and give little consideration to the long-term consequences on the sustainability of all life.
In Ontario today, the governing party is NOT supported by the majority of the electorate.
These amendments place too much power into the hands of a single individual (in a distant office), to make arbitrary decisions that may have huge impacts on local citizens and the local environment.
The "Minister" is a short-term appointee; but the Minister's arbitrary decisions have long-term consequences.
To place this much power in one person's hands is unconscienable in a "democratic" society.
