I am strongly against the proposed transfer and recycling station being located 1km away from the town of Dresden. It would compromise the safety of our farmers, children and businesses of our community and also those along the way to get here. With the possibility of organic waste included, it could have offensive odours, bring in excessive wildlife to forage, affect water wells, the creek and river that are very close with many 'at risk' species living along them. Taxes would increase to support excessive truck traffic on the roads and bridges and our homes would be devalued. No one wants a dump in their backyard!!! This is a farming community and why would you allow a dump to take up acres of valuable land that provides food for the people!! Please do not approve York1 to proceed with this project!!!
