An easier to open snare is not humane, just less inhumane than strangle snares. The animal will still bite people and themselves trying to get out, and the snare will still likely choke and injure them. And trapping coyotes, (who will likely end up mauled by dogs in a captive trial and train area, and/or a fashion item), does not “remove them”, nor protect livestock. Coyotes will quickly replace the trapped ones, reproducing even faster if the alpha pair is killed. Instead of killing, please work with www.coyotewatchcanada.com and https://thefurbearers.com/ to educate farmers and homeowners on how to coexist humanely with coyotes.
