As a Vaughan Resident of 30+ years I am oppose to the 4 32+ storey building planned for Weston and Langstaff.
1. The current proposals for South Vaughan exceed its intended density levels. The current infrastructure does not support all the high rise condominiums.
2. Currently, there's no urban planning in place to ease the traffic congestion. The high density of cars has tripled commute times for Vaughan residents, causing unnecessary stress and frustration. Adding these additional building will make this worse.
3. York Region's violent crime severity index rose by 37.3% in 2022 and has been increasing since. York region does not have in place enough police and residents of vaughan feel unsafe. Adding ti the position that currents lacks policing and laws for criminals only makes the crime severity worse.
4. Vaughan's transit system lacks efficient routes within the city, exacerbating with increased population. The city is ill-prepared to handle this issue.
5. Condos should be built in new development north of Major Mackenzie.
6. Ontario/Canada should have a law that condos should be large enough for a family to put in a dining room table to eat. 400 square foot condos should not be considered a home.
As a Vaughan Resident I urge the City of Vaugh to stop the Tower from being built.
