Current infrastructure in this area including roadways is already heavily burdened and cannot adequately support current population demands. Heavy traffic through the community driven mainly by through traffic accessing and exiting Highway 400 will only be made worse, as Langstaff and Weston roads are not suitable to support current, much less future volumes. Residential development must be done smartly ensuring community infrastructure is not overburdened. This community is already overburdened and therefore high rise development is not smart or responsible. While development on major arteries like the 400 may seem reasonable, consideration must be given to the impact to adjacent roadways the and surrounding community.
