Trapping laws must prioritize the welfare of animals, NOT the convenience and profit of trappers and the fur industry.
The province of Ontario needs to publish the research findings referred to on its ERO page to back its own claims. The public is entitled to government transparency in ERO-related decisions.
Killing and restraining snares are cruel for both target and nontarget animals. Such snares are barbaric and should be eliminated immediately.
