I think that the Ontario government should ban snares entirely, as they are cruel and they are also indiscriminate, threatening the welfare of targeted and non-targeted animals alike.
It seems that the government is motivated more by the interests of the fur industry, than by the ethical considerations of animal welfare.
Please follow the example of Wales and Scotland, which have recently banned snares.
