Laws concerning trapping need to give top priority to animal welfare not input from the commercial fur industry.
Also, such laws should rely on current, peer-reviewed science.
However, Ontario needs to align itself with the many countries around the world that have banned snares entirely. Farmers should be encouraged to use non-lethal, predator friendly farming methods instead of trapping wildlife.
