I am totally opposed to the amendments to the hold trapping laws in Ontario and everywhere. Holding style traps risk catching unintended animals as well as the intended ones and causes extreme pain and emotional distress to any and all animals who stubble into them. Any and all trapping is inhumane and totally unnecessary in these modern times. Humans do not have a right to torture or maim our own species, why are laws to harm other animals even considered in these times of declining biodiversity it baffles the mind how ignorant some humans are.
