Please end all snare traps! Restraining snares and the recommendation to reduce the size of the snare is without merit. Publish the research on the ERO page. Otherwise this isn’t a real consultation.
This is animal cruelty! There is no science to back up what is being proposed!
Do not continue to prioritize money and the fur industry over animal welfare!! The laws around trapping needed to be strengthened and based in science!!
Relaxing cable restraints are not legal or ethical! Killing and restraining snares are harmful to many other types of animals and are extremely cruel!!
Farmers can be more humane as well in how they deal with wildlife - look to forward thinking countries who put animal welfare in the forefront.
Please be leaders and ban the use of these snare traps all together!! Enough is enough!! We know better - we must do better!!
Thank you,
Jace
