I feel the approach York 1 is taking using a dormant dumping site that would allow them to side step the environmental assessment is incredibly shady. This site was never meant to sustain the capacity of garbage they are proposing for this site. Plus the infastructure surrounding it wasn't either. The number of trucks getting off the highway onto county roads is a recipe for disaster for roads that already don't get the care they need. Plus the danger to the wildlife in that area should be reason enough to not allow this to happen. Would you want this in your backyard?
