This proposal must have an environmental assessment to prove that this dump should not go in a small community, especially within 1km which is technically against the law. York1 is a big company trying to bully a small town community and they are trying to get this built through loopholes. Law states that all new landfills must be at least 3.5km from a community, but they think they are exempt from this requirement cause they are deeming it an existing landfill. We all know it was never a landfill before. They also claim it’s a recycling facility when we know what they will do once it’s built. They will bring garbage and will destroy our town. Please have an environmental assessment done to prove this is not the place for a dump.
