Effets de la consultation

Four comments were received by the Ministry through the Environmental Registry. Comments received were reviewed and, where appropriate, were considered in the ministry’s decision whether or not to proceed with this proposal. The following concerns were raised:

  1. Summary of noise comments includes valid concerns regarding significant impulsive noise exceedances during the daytime, evening, and nighttime.

Ministry’s response: The facility will complete a noise abatement action plan that includes a 13m high acoustic barrier, 178m long on the southwest boundary line to mitigate noise levels for the daytime, evening and nighttime to noise levels which meet the MECP sound level limits. This noise abatement action plan will be completed by the facility within 6 months of issuance of the ECA.

  2. Concerns about the air emissions from the facility.

Ministry’s response: The application has demonstrated that the operation of the facility complies with the ministry’s applicable air requirements including but not limited to the air discharge requirements in Reg. 419/05: Local Air Quality Regulation.
