The release of the IPCC…

The release of the IPCC special report on Global warming was very timely with regard to Bill 4. It is another prediction suggesting accelerating and increasingly dire consequences if action is not taken. The status quo is no longer an viable option ... energy usage and pollution emissions have to be curtailed....both drastically and immediately if we are to avoid widespread suffering and possibly irreversible ecological/environmental damage. It is not the time to play politics with the fate of the world. Real action has to be taken. A Carbon Tax is a simple and highly effective way to curtail emissions and spur new ideas. If it hurts a little to do so, it's because we have been ignoring the environmental mess we have been making for too long. It's time to clean up.
