If we want to reduce congestion in urban areas, we have to provide alternatives to driving because we simply can't fit everyone's car into the limited physical space available. Good bike infrastructure - including and especially on major arterials - induces people to ride rather than drive, reducing congestion. Finally, Ontarians should have the freedom to choose the right transportation method for the - the government shouldn't be telling me how to get from point A to point B. This legislation and its regulations will make moving through Ontario's cities so much worse for everyone, no matter what method of transportation they choose.
