I believe the cap and trade system represents an effective market-driven solution to reduce green house gas emissions. It strikes me as reckless and irresponsible to scrap this system without first proposing a detailed alternative.

Once such an alternative has been proposed, is should be independently evaluated for its merits. If it proves to be superior to the existing cap and trade system, then by all means replace the old system with the new one.

Bill 4 seems to be motivated by an attitude of "let's dismantle anything the Liberals did" without even bothering to consider what should replace it. That's poor governance.
