I am in full agreement with the submission by the Green Party of Ontario - posted Oct. 11, 2018, and signed by Jaymini Bhikha.
So many millions of words have been written about the looming climate change catastrophe that there is really very little I can add.
The only thing I would like to add is that I fail to see why any responsible politician could doom our beautiful planet - at least, most of the biosphere - for the sake of saving a few pennies per litre on gas and natural gas. Not to mention that reusable energy will create multitudes of *clean* jobs, unlike leaky pipelines and the even more horrible tar sands - one wonders if the politicians care about jobs as much as they say they do!
This whole situation reminds me of the hoary old joke where this CEO says something to the effect that, "Yes, the world is coming to an end in a few months, but there will be some great business opportunities before that".
I know some of the government types in the US have given up, but surely Canadians are made of sterner stuff!
Respectfully
