I hope the Ford administration realizes that when cities are drowning, crops are burning, and there is no clean air to breathe, they will be at fault. As drastic and poetic as this sounds, this is, unfortunately, the future reality we face. The environment is one of the only things all humans share. As a result, we all have a duty to protect it for our own, and future generation's sakes. This act makes me feel ashamed to be an Ontarian. We elect those in power to govern and create policies to help us in the long-run, not benefit themselves temporarily. I urge you to see that there is more value in a breath of clean air than a few more dollars in your pockets. If I can't make you do this, then maybe the future smog filled Ontario will.
