It is abundantly clear when looking at actual data that reducing the number of cars is the only solution to traffic. Adding additional bike lanes, finishing the Provincial public transit projects on time, and removing on-street parking are the easiest ways to incentivize people out of their vehicles and into less congestion causing methods of transportation. Completing the Eglinton LRT and/or adding bike lanes for the full length of Gerrard St E are the main ways to get me out of a car and onto better commute options. Removing bike lanes or not adding them where they may reduce a lane of travel is a step backwards for this province.
