I am very upset at the proposed Amendment to To Ontario Regulation 299/19 Additional Residential Units made under the Planning Act.
I believe that your government should be concentrating on providing affordable housing proposals for homeless, under-housed and people that have to limit their food budget to pay for housing.
Instead your proposals favours developments that will overload existing municipal infrastructure without any advance planning or consideration of the financial impact on the municipality. It also favours developers rather than residents.
Overdevelopment of lots as proposed in your Proposed amendment to Ontario Regulation 299/19 will severely limit the amount of space where trees could be planted to increase the tree canopy. Trees are essential for carbon sequestration , wildlife habitat, flood prevention, air quality improvement, biodiversity enhancement and urban cooling,
I cannot support the Proposals on:
the Angular Plane
Maximum lot coverage
3. Floor Space Index
4. Minimum lot Size
5.. Building distance separation
Thank you for considering my viewpoint.
