Urban bike lanes reduce car traffic, make roads safer for everyone and increase income for businesses. Every study in every city in the world (including in Toronto) confirms this. We need more bike lanes, and more public transit. The lack of bike lanes, lack of transit, and antiquated investment in increasing car traffic is embarrassing but more importantly, it is dangerous and economically, socially and environmentally damaging.
