Hi,

I'm a citizen and voter who is strongly against the cancellation of the cap and trade program. The Government of Ontario is responsible for the long-term well being of its citizens, and climate change threatens our safety. We must take progressive action now to avoid the flooding and damages that climate change-fueled storms will hit Ontario homeowners with in the future. Catastrophic effects from not meeting a strict global warming target of 1.5C also means worldwide famine and refugee crises within the next two decades. We must set aggressive emission reduction targets and create a plan to meet them. A carbon neutral future is the only possibility, and Ontario can be a leader, rather than stuck in the past. We must start working towards that now, not later - there is no time to waste.
