Requiring municipalities to seek approval from the provincial government about inserting bike lanes when it replaces a lane for cars is a desperate way to attempt to control the narrative in urban centres. No one understands the needs of a city like the mayor and its citizens. The roads of Toronto do not only exist for the suburban commuters (who do not pay the municipal taxes).

What is much worse, however, is the attempt to hide the exemption from the Environmental Assessment Act for enterprises, activities, proposals, plans and programs for or related to Highway 413. This highway is absolutely unnecessary, and would actually be detrimental for so many reasons.

I feel so much anger at Doug Ford and the Conservative Party for trying to sneak this in under the guise that he is for the average “folks” of Ontario when he has proven time and time again that he his for his wealthy buddies and no one else.

Please please please do not pass Bill 212.
