This bill is contrary to the interests of Ontarians. The purpose of government is to protect public goods, like the environment, our communities, and families and individuals who are unable to fend for themselves. Why would we remove the requirement for environmental assessment for 413? I want that step to be done so we can understand exactly what the effect will be. Furthermore, to regulate the municipal use of bike lanes is an overstep of the province into municipal affairs. It also demonstrates an inherent bias against bike users and a preference to use public funds for roads and automotives. Part of the reason we have congestion is because there are poor alternatives to driving. Spend public money, including that which is spent on public servants writing these bills and planning these projects, and direct it to improving transit, healthcare, and even zoning laws -- these are crises in Ontario right now. This bill is a waste of time and money and is just fast-tracking the pillaging of our beautiful province. Thank you.
