This bill is terrible misguided to the point where it must be willful ignorance. Multiple studies have shown that bike lanes reduce traffic and congestion.
I bike almost every day with my two year old son in the bike seat in the back. We rely on biking infrastructure to get around safely and this bill could have a drastically negative impact on our daily lives. We rely on the safety of bike lanes every day.
This bill does nothing but prioritize car users at a direct and dangerous cost of everyone else. Even if these lanes added to congestion, which they don't, how is saving a car users a few extra seconds worth the safety of myself, my son, and every other vulnerable road user?
