It is poor fiscal management and not in the public interest to repeal legislation that was well vetted, had many staff and public resources dedicated to it and, most of all, will have a positive long term impact for the residents of Ontario and our planet as a whole. This is particularly worrisome when the new government announces it has a strategy to address climate change, but gives no details as to what that plan will be. It is clear the current government is not a climate change advocate given the removal of Climate Change from the Ministry's title. Coming up with a new strategy to address climate change is not fiscally responsible when there is already a plan in place. We need to think beyond the term of political power and take action as soon as possible for the good of the planet and generations to come. Do not repeal the current legislation.
