The challenge we face is not bike lanes. Instead it is too many cars on the road which is a result of the sprawl in the GTA. The only solution is to get some of those cars off of the road. The way to do this is by investing in more transit, bike lanes, and pedestrian infrastructure. There is no other way. Many cities around the world have already gone down this path so it is nothing new. We can just take their lessons learned.
